Volunteer Requirements and Process

  • Enjoy learning, teaching, and developing innovative ways to engage students with the curriculum
  • Commit to a mutually agreed upon number of hours/ projects
  • Complete an interview
  • Provide references
  • Attend the information/ training sessions for the desired position

Jennifer Casa-Todd Teacher-Librarian Literacy Consultant author Social LEADia Raising Digital Leaders Digital Citizenship

Jennifer Casa-Todd is wife, mom, a Teacher-Librarian and a former Literacy Consultant. Jennifer is the author of the books, Social LEADia and Raising Digital Leaders. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Technology with a specialization in Digital Citizenship, student voice, and social media in education. She is a global keynote speaker and ISTE Digital Citizenship PLN award winner (2020). She is a Google Certified Innovator and the co-founder of the Global Education Student Chat along with Leigh. She is passionate about showing teachers and students how they can use technology and social media to make the world a better place. @JCasaTodd

Rola Tibshirani French immersion Catholic School Board Ontario Ministry of Education Global Initiative New Pedagogies for Deep Learning

Rola Tibshirani is a French immersion teacher in Ottawa for the Catholic School Board. Rola is passionate about students taking responsibility for their own learning by creating and applying integrative thought processes to embrace challenges. She is involved in Ontario Ministry of Education projects on assessment (edugains.ca), technology (learning connections) and the Global Initiative New Pedagogies for Deep Learning (6 skills). Rola connects her students with projects from around the world and fosters collaborative student research by forming global partnerships. @rolat
