Huron Cultural Awards

Celebrating the best in arts, culture, and heritage in Huron County . . .

The Huron Arts and Heritage Network fosters growth and success by providing support and services for the arts, culture and heritage community in Huron County. Established in 2001, under the name Heritage and Culture Partnership, the organization has been active in producing and partnering on such events and activities as: Doors Open Huron County, Huron Culture Awards, EPIC Youth, Communitrees, Celebration of First Nations, Huron’s International Festival and the Alice Munro Readers and Writers Festival.

On Friday May 1st, 2015 I was honoured by the Huron Arts and Heritage Network at the 6th annual Huron Cultural Awards Ceremony. The Huron Cultural Awards acknowledge the achievements and contributions of individuals, organizations, and businesses that have made a significant contribution to the arts, culture, and heritage community in Huron County.

The Innovator’s Award, new in 2015, recognizes the contribution of an individual, organization, or business that is using new technologies to promote or advance the arts, culture, and heritage stories of Huron County. I was presented with the Innovator’s Award by MPP Lisa Thompson and Huron County Warden Paul Gowing.

It was such an honour to be recognized and included with such an inspirational group of people who are contributing the arts, culture and heritage community in Huron County. Thank you!
