At the Stratford Festival, we aim to support change and discovery among our audiences and to empower young people to participate actively in the arts in order to explore big and difficult questions.

Overview of our Virtual Programming

Virtual learning opportunities include:

  • 12 Stratford On Film productions:
    • Made available by way of a secure link for multiple devices
  • FREE PerformancePlus resources:
    • Watch King Lear, HamletMacbethRomeo and Juliet andThe Tempest in your classroom using our Stratford on Film production presented alongside Shakespeare’s text. PerformancePlus includes an online study toolkit with discussion questions, lesson plans and interviews with cast and creative team members.
  • Interactive Q&As or Career Roundtables with artists and other arts professionals:
    • Enhance your viewing of a Stratford on Film production with a post-show Q&A
    • Learn more about theatre production (lighting, sound, projection, rigging, scenery, costumes, props, wigs and makeup, design, stage management)
    • Discuss acting and performance, playwriting, directing or producing
    • Focus on career paths and planning
  • Active Workshops led by teaching artists
    • Learn choreography or the fundamentals of dance: musical theatre, Shakespearean dance, ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop or ballroom
    • Explore acting and writing: Shakespearean soliloquys, partner scenes, voice and text, musical theatre performance, playwriting and improvisational theatre
