iPads Inspire

Each individual learner is unique.  And in order to meet the needs of all learners, teachers have to challenging task of matching what we teach with how students learn. We promote critical thinking and problem solving; model good citizenship and build character.  We foster an environment of creativity and collaborative learning. We provide students with opportunities to extend their thinking beyond the walls of the classroom and connect with a global audience. And one of the most powerful tools we use with students is technology.

Integrating technology into my classroom program continues to change the way I think about my role as a teacher.  My focus has shifted from how I teach the content, to how my students learn the content.  And in just under a month my class will be receiving 10 iPads. We are all about to begin a new journey of learning full of possibilities, only limited by our imaginations.

I will be sharing our journey of learning here on my blog, and posting new resources as well.  Please visit my Projects page to learn more about how we are improving student learning in the Avon Maitland District School Board.

Only 10 more sleeps!!!
