Digital Human Library is looking for volunteers to help us review our virtual tours and virtual reality library for the 2022-2023 school year!
Volunteers gain access to our entire library of virtual tours and virtual reality experiences to use in their classrooms. It’s an incredible opportunity to support youth and learning across Canada, and explore new educational content for your students!
Work remotely from home!
Set your own hours!
Volunteers will receive free access to dHL’s Virtual Tours and Virtual Reality library to use in your classrooms!
Review and validate the virtual tours and virtual reality experiences in dHL’s library to ensure the content remains safe, relevant, and engaging for K-12 students.
Project tasks include:
- Reviewing current virtual tours and virtual reality links from a user perspective to ensure that the content is still safe, relevant, and appropriate for K-12 students (no new inappropriate images on the webpage, inappropriate hyperlinked content, images, etc.)
- Replacing broken links by locating the updated URL (where possible)
- Documenting the tour links that need to be updated or removed using Google Sheets
- Collaborating with the dHL Team
Students should have previous experience working in Google Sheets. Experience working in MySQL/ PHP as asset but not required.
Training and Support
Volunteers will receive personalized training to begin the project. Meetings will be held online as needed for training, support, and to engage in feedback conversations. Additional support and communication will take place via email.
